Description Caritas is the Catholic agency for justice, peace and development. Caritas supports work in poor and marginalised communities in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Pacific; responds to disasters; and carries out education and advocacy on social justice issues in a New Zealand and an international context.


Communications Assistant (15 hours per week)

We are looking for a person to help with our communications programme. The role involves keeping our soon to be upgraded website current and relevant, and to also help draft and edit media releases, publications and other articles for external use. The role is based in Wellington, for a fixed term of 5 months commencing approximately 1 September.

The successful candidate will have:
•Experience in a communications role
•Well developed computer skills
•Strong writing and research skills
•A commitment to the aims and ethos of Caritas
•A high degree of self-motivation and a passion for life.
